Andrew started the Law Office of Andrew D. Toms, LLC immediately after admission to the Maryland Bar on June 14, 2022. Andrew graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law in December of 2021. During law school he worked on commercial and family law matters. During his studies, Andrew interned for the Howard County States Attorney’s Office and served as a law clerk for the Frederick County Public Defender’s Office and Top Circuit Court Supervising Attorney.
Andrew developed an affinity for civil litigation in 2013 when a neighboring organization discharged abnormally loud fireworks 300 feet from his dairy farm, causing death and serious injury to the livestock. The case was evaluated by the Supreme Court of Maryland Toms v. Calvary, 446 Md. 543 (2016) and is used by law school professors as a teaching aid. He has extensive knowledge and experience in family law and civil litigation before the Frederick County Circuit and District Court.
Andrew has been a life-long native of Frederick County and enjoys spending his free time farming and spending time with his family.
